The design of the 4Runner prioritizes performance. This includes features like the Stabilizer Bar Disconnect Mechanism, which facilitates easy navigation over difficult terrain. The stabilizer enhances suspension articulation with a single button press. This function keeps the tires in contact with the trail while enabling the vehicle to flex. The 4Runner off-road SUV focuses on rugged capability and offers either full-time or part-time 4WD paired with an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. Additionally, a range of terrain, including mud, dirt, and sand, can be adjusted using the Multi-Terrain Select system.

* Provincial towing laws may require the installation of towing brakes in order to safely tow. Before towing, confirm what laws affect you, and whether, if required, your vehicle can accommodate towing brakes. Make sure your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. If gross trailer weight is above 5,000 lb (2,268 kg), it is necessary to use a weight-distributing hitch with sufficient capacity. If your vehicle is equipped with a kick sensor, installation of a tow hitch receiver or other accessories located near the rear bumper may require disabling or removing the kick sensor, and the sensor operation setting in your vehicle should be turned off. Panoramic View Monitor (PVM)
The available PVM uses multiple cameras to provide a 360° top-down panorama view, including a hitch and rear-split view to show several exterior angles.
Head-Up Display
Available on the Platinum trim, the Head-Up Display projects important information above the dash, directly in the driver's view.
FOX® Shock Absorbers
Available on the TRD Pro, the FOX® Shock Absorbers with Quick Switch 3 includes 3 manually selectable damping settings.

5Lane Tracing Assist (LTA): Lane Tracing (Trace) Assist (LTA) is designed to read visible lane markers and detect other vehicles under certain conditions. When potential lane departure is detected, LTA provides a visual warning and either an audible alert or vibration in the steering wheel and can apply a slight steering force. It is not a collision-avoidance system or a substitute for safe and attentive driving. Effectiveness is dependent on many factors including road, weather and vehicle conditions. 6Automatic High Beam (AHB): Automatic High Beams operate at speeds above 34 km/h. Factors such as a dirty windshield, weather, lighting and terrain limit effectiveness, requiring the driver to manually operate the high beams. See Owner’s Manual for additional limitations and details.
7BSM: Do not rely exclusively on the Blind Spot Monitor System and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert System. They are not collision-avoidance systems or substitutes for safe and attentive driving.
8Safe Exist Assist: Do not rely exclusively on Safe Exit Assist. Always look for approaching traffic before exiting the vehicle. There are limitations to the function, detection and range of the Safe Exit Assist system. See Owner's Manual for additional limitations and details.
